Yes, it happens every year, but every April we lap it up just the same. And 2022 will be no exception, especially as the Easter weekend falls very late in the season this year.
That means we will be ready for the full egg-stravaganza that Easter brings to our Orlando home, and all the additional egg-citement that it entails.
And, as well as really bad ‘egg’ puns, we can look forward to an absolute cavalcade of additional fun and thrills throughout Central Florida, from the more cerebral offerings of things like the Florida Film Festival (April 8-17) and Fiesta in the Park (a major arts and crafts event in Lake Eola Park Apr 2-3) to the family-friendly delights of the hugely elaborate chocolate egg displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
In fact, Walt Disney World is a great place for Easter delights of many kinds, as they ramp up this special holiday presentation with a variety of egg-stras (sorry!) at each of the Magic Kingdom and Epcot parks.
At the former, look out for the chance to meet the Easter Bunny on Main Street USA, along with the Easter Procession, while Epcot features a popular and highly child-friendly Easter Scavenger Hunt as part of its International Flower & Garden Festival.
International Drive’s ICON Park also gets in on the seasonal action with its Easter Bunny Garden Experience and the Mall at Millenia has its own set-piece excitement with the Easter Bunny Photo opportunity in the Orangerie Café area.
It makes for a really tempting litany of Easter festivities, spread across much of our tourism territory for much of April, but this is also a month that sees us galloping firmly from spring into summer and opening up even more possibilities for enjoying this part of the world.
If it’s possible to say this time of year is the most idyllic weather-wise (as if there are different levels of serene!), then Orlando really is a magnificent prospect as the calendar clicks over from March.
Shorts and T-shirts are pretty much the order of the day, all day, and any rain is likely to be intermittent and short-lived. You can pack light and enjoy long days at our magnificent array of attractions.
